Bone sarcomas of the maxilla and mandible (SOMM) are rare but serious tumors due to their aggressiveness complex anatomical localization diagnostic delays and frequent recurrences. A retrospective study conducted at CHU Habib Bourguiba in Sfax between 2008 and 2018 included 14 patients (mean age 39.7 years majority male). Mandibular localization was the most frequent (71.5%) and chemotherapy was used as initial treatment in 64.3% of cases followed by carcinological surgery with reconstruction in 9 patients. Chondroblastic sarcomas were the most common (42.9%) and overall survival at 5 years was 41.8% with unfavorable prognostic factors such as smoking (p=0.043) advanced age and maxillary locations (p=0.010). Despite therapeutic efforts the prognosis of SOMM remains poor whatever the histological type.
