About the Author: Mrs. Jalaja B Menon born in 1964 in Perumbavoor Ernakulam is a retired BSNL officer with a postgraduate degree in Mathematics. After settling in Palakkad following her marriage she briefly pursued teaching before dedicating three decades to the telecommunications sector from which she took voluntary retirement. Her foray into literature began post-retirement with a focus on stories and poems that vividly capture the essence of rural life. Writing primarily in Malayalam she occasionally expresses herself through English poetry as well. An active presence in literary circles she not only writes but also recites and sings her compositions. Her debut book Naattu Vazhikaliloode is a heartfelt reflection of her deep-rooted connection to village life. Having penned her first story at the age of 56 she continues to nurture her creative passion and is currently working on her second publication.
