Mechatronics Engineering

About The Book

The research analyzes the relationship between soft skills (SB) and labor market insertion (IL) of Mechatronics Engineering students (IMCT) at the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez. It is highlighted that many professionals do not work in their area due to lack of opportunities. Data such as the one mentioned by OCCMundial (2018) where 5 out of 10 professionals do not practice in their specialty support this concern. In addition it is revealed that 88% of those surveyed feel that their studies contribute to their professional development but 55% have changed their specialty due to lack of opportunities and 34% due to lack of professional planning. INEGI reports that as of the third quarter of 2019 5 million 422 thousand professionals work outside their field representing 54% of employees.Employers demand technical (HD) and soft skills (HB). While technical skills are formally taught soft skills are acquired informally and are considered essential. However IMCT students do not consciously develop them as part of their academic training.
