Media Cartoons in Environmental Education

Who does not love cartoons? Everyone has their own favorite cartoon. It all started with an episode of The Simpsons opening credits where Homer Simpson was evolving from a unicellular organism to a complex human being. Entertaining and Educational are two descriptions always integrated in every teaching strategy I used in teaching Science. On this scientific study it correlates the use of media cartoons as a form of visual medium in helping students understand environmental concepts. Science skills are developed as students interpret and analyze concepts conveyed in the media cartoons.
