With the reforms that have taken place in Brazilian education especially since the 1990s the discussion about the inclusion of media in education as an important element for improving the quality of teaching is present in the initiatives of the various spheres of public power. However what we have realised is that there are still many barriers to making this discussion a reality. These are operational political-administrative and initial and continuing teacher training obstacles as well as a lack of space and the scrapping of instruments due to the lack of maintenance in schools.
