In the last few years there has been a tremendous growth of media in the country in form of print electronic and now emerging social media. Its coverage on trial has also increased tremendously. Media in india has become a public court ( Janta ki Adalat) that is obstructing in Court's proceedings.</p><p><br/>Today it is being witnessed that over curious media is trespassing individuals right to privacy by crossings its limitations of freedom. It completely ignores an important gap between Accused and Convict by keeping at stake the golden principles of presumption of innocence until proven guilty and guilty beyond reasonable doubt. <br/>Apex Court of India and various High Courts have commented at numerous instances adversely over growing obstruction from media. </p><p>Hence this work was conducted to examine the influence of media on criminal justice system in India. A extensive study of judgements was made to understand effect of interference by media and It's adverse effect on criminal justice system.</p>
