Mediation of commonly used technological tools in learning

About The Book

The use of technological mediations in the classroom allows the teacher to propose a new methodology implementing activities in which theory and practice merge and demonstrates that the development of competencies in the management of social networks can help educate a society. This text exposes the results of a research elaborated at Gimnasio Moderno Santa Bárbara in which technological instruments (cell phones) were involved with three social networks: Facebook YouTube and WhatsApp all under the theories of David Ausubel (Meaningful Learning) Lev Vygotski (Sociocultural Theory) and Reuven Feuerstein (Mediated Learning). The methodology used is qualitative and framed in a case study it consists of participant observation and focus groups applied to tenth and eleventh grade students of the institution in which an interpretation of the testimonies obtained was made and it is shown at the end how this tool can help learning from the motivation of students.
