Simvastatin Solid Dispersion Prepared by Microwave Fusion Technique

Simvastatin a crystalline substance is a widely used drug for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia. It is a BCS class II drug having low aqueous solubility (0.76 mg/L) exhibiting poor dissolution pattern and low oral bioavailability (5%).
