Morocco is currently experiencing a widespread outbreak of measles and medicinal plants can represent an important therapeutic resource for many populations. This study aims to explore the use of medicinal plants in the treatment of measles in the city of Fez. Data were collected using structured questionnaires administered during direct interviews with herbalists. A total of 100 herbalists agreed to participate. Herbalists reported the use of 39 plants belonging to 36 genera and 22 families in the treatment of measles. The most commonly used parts were seeds and the dominant preparation methods were powder and infusion. This study highlights the existence of local ethnomedicinal knowledge concerning plants used against measles in the Fès region. The plants listed could form a basis for future scientific research.
