<p>A modern young Asian woman reluctantly visits her traditional grandmother and discovers a treasure of information about Doctor Hall who traveled to China in the 19th century and kept a written account of his travels. He left his papers to her family and through his journals she discovers a new appreciation for her culture. Based on the real journals of Doctor Hall who chronicled his experiences as a man of medicine in China during the 1800s.</p>
