She died on September 30 2012. <br><br>Jan Pienkowski is a celebrated illustrator of children's books. He has won the Greenaway Medal twice - for his illustration of Joan Aiken's <i>The Kingdom Under the Sea </i>and for <i>Haunted House</i>.
