Dartmoor in Devon is Englands last southern wilderness. Covering 365 sq miles of boggy marshland forests and ancient craggy Tors it is famous for its treacherous mists and ghostly legends. Elly Johnsons father has bought Moor House - a mysterious granite building in the middle of Dartmoor. Unable to go to school until September Elly wanders over the moor with her dog Finn.
