Mehek - Essays Poems Ghazals and Short Stories

These poems ghazals short stories and essays were written between 1990 to 1993 during college. Of these I am particularly happy and proud of the story in verse - Gurukul - which is a journey about the spiritual quest of man.. The Hindi ghazals are a work of love and have found much appreciation from all those who have heard them. The short stories have an element of pathos contemplation and twist in them. Of the poems my personal favourite remains The Tragedy of Cashmere a twist to the Kashmir tale. . I have fondly named this book - Mehek - and I hope that it adequately captures the fragrance of an individuals quest for life and thoughtful imagination in ones formative years These are coming in print some thirty years after they were first written - but I hope time has not paled them. . - Girish Aivalli
