Memeloose

A Native American boy is stolen from his village near Mount Shasta and sold into slavery on the Columbia River upstream from Fort Vancouver Washington. The boy struggles with his own coming of age while his faithful dog travels the Pacific Northwest searching for him. The adventure is enriched by heroic characters John McLoughlin the Father of Oregon and Kamiakin a Yakima chief who helped mold the multi-cultural world known as the London of the West. A young adult/juvenile Historic Fiction based on a true story from the 1840's.
