Memoirs Of Aaron Burr Vol. 2

Matthew L. Davis Aaron Burrs companion and legal counsel wrote a history book titled The Memoirs of Aaron Burr Vol. 2. The second edition of Burrs memoirs which covers the last stages of his life including his treason trial and subsequent exile to Europe is available now. The book offers a first-person narrative of Burrs life as well as the social and political developments of his day. It also sheds light on Burrs friendship with Davis who stood with him throughout his life as a devoted friend and supporter. Along with telling Burrs own biography the book also provides insight into the political and social context of the country in the early 19th century including the disputed 1800 presidential election and the emergence of political parties.
