Although Ben Lomond Mountain Has Been The Same Over Time During The Last 150 Years The Family Life Upon It Has Changed Dramatically. The First European Settlers On The Mountain Were True Pioneers Having To Deal With Making A Living Providing Basic Food And Shelter Raising Children And Keeping Everyone Safe For The Hazards Of The Wilderness. They Also Had To Find Ways To Fill Basic Human Need For Companionship And Community. As The Years Passed The Community On Ben Lomond Mountain Became Known As Bonny Doon.
