Meta-evaluation of projects in education using ICTs

The meta-evaluation aims at the methodological and practical improvement of future evaluations of projects involving ICT. This path was built on the assumption that evaluation is part of the very nature of practice because thinking about evaluation is thinking about the practice as the best way to improve it. The work led to a review of the evolution of the concept of project until its insertion in education by means of authors such as Jean-Pierre Boutinet and Nílson José Machado. It was necessary to relate the notion of project with the concept of technology present in Álvaro Viera Pinto''s work. The different conceptions of evaluation were worked through authors like Jean-Jacques Bonniol and Michael Vial; Isabel Franchi Cappelletti; Ernesto Cohen and Rolando Franco and the essays organized by Maria Cecília Roxo Nobre Barreira and Maria do Carmo Brant de Carvalho. Finally to analyse the use of ICT in the educational area Maria Elisabeth Bianconcini de Almeida was used. The data point to the importance of evaluation procedures in programs and projects with the use of ICT in the implementation in the process and also in the analysis of the results.
