The method and technology of intraoperative identification of the laryngeal nerves among the tissues of an operating wound are developed. Technologically the scheme of the method consists in recording the changes in the position of vocal cords in the vocal cavity by the magnitude of the amplitude of the sound vibrations in response to the electrostimulation of tissues of a surgical wound with a given frequency. It is based on modern data on the physiology of the larynx and the peculiarities of its voice-forming function. For its implementation general intravenous anesthesia is used for independent breathing using a laryngeal mask. A high-quality microphone is located in the mask to record sound vibrations. The method allows to identify the recurrent and superior nerves of the larynx to determine their topographic and anatomical features of the location and entrance to the larynx to monitor the course of the nerve during the operation or to determine the area of its passage to prevent nerve injury and to preserve the pharyngeal function of the larynx.
