Methods of Creating Educational Web Portals

Globalization of knowledge and constant growth of the volume of information the problem of rapid processing are grounds for the transfer to electronic media. Thus there is a need for a single point of access to that information such as web portals. This directly applies to the educational process particularly in certain disciplines. Improvement of existing and development of new methods and approaches to the collection processing and dissemination of information is an integral part of the development of information technology and information systems. Today education has made major revolutions of information and is undergoing rapid reorientation of the application of automated information technology. Each institution follows the trend of creating their own websites or web portals. Accordingly there is a need to develop and use methodological support for the creation and organization of information environments. However existing methods of creating educational Web resources have significant gaps and do not meet the needs of the web portal disciplines.
