METROLOGY AND MEASUREMENTS LABORATORY MANUAL

The Laboratory for Metrology and Measurement is aimed at equipping an Engineering Student with components with which they can measure lengths smaller than an mm and angles smaller than a degree. As in all the Labs the experiments complement the learning experience of the Class-Lecture. The Exercises provide opportunities for direct use of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper Micrometers Bevel Protractor Sine Bar and Gear Tooth Caliper. The Laboratory must be used as a chance to enhance ones’ Understanding of the Measuring instruments and in the process must improve his skills at accurately measuring the required quantities.
