Originally published in 1940 this book contains a lively account of a journey through Mexico by John Brande Trend the first Professor of Spanish at the University of Cambridge. Trend vividly describes important ancient sites such as Cichn Itz as well as Spanish traditions that he observed while in Mexico. Photographic plates of important artefacts are also included in the text. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in Spanish influence in Mexico and Mexican history.
