He also excelled at architecture and designed several buildings including one of his most celebrated works--St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. </p><p>Despite all his talents Michelangelo had a tormented life as many people around him seemed to take advantage of his kindness and loyalty. Still he remained unyielding and continued to create masterpieces for centuries to come; a true testament to his creativity and drive.</p><p>Michelangelo was not only a great artist but also a genius. He had a unique perspective on the world that allowed him to create some of the most beautiful and timeless pieces of art ever conceived.</p>
