Microwave Assisted Synthesis of Some Novel Chalcones

In the present study we have investigated the microwave assisted synthesis of several (E)-1-(1-Substituted naphthalen-2-yl)-3-(2-substituted quinolin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-ones by base catalyzed Claisen-Schmidt condensation reaction of 2-Morpholinoquinoline-3-carbaldehyde/ 2- Piperidinoquinoline-3-carbaldehyde/ 2-Pyrrolidinoquinoline-3-carbaldehyde with 1-(1-Hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl) ethanone/ 1-(1-Methoxynaphthalen-2- yl)ethanone.
