Some Schiff base metal complexes of Cr(III) Co(II) Ni(II) and Cu(II) have been synthesized by conventional as well as microwave methods. These compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis FT-IR FAB-mass molar conductance electronic spectra 1H-NMR ESR magnetic susceptibility and thermal analysis. The applications of microwave irradiation are used for carrying out chemical transformations which are pollution free and eco-friendly. The basis of this technique of synthesis is much faster with higher yields compared to conventional synthesis.
