Bangalore the high-tech capital is the fastest growing Indian city (along with Mumbai). It is in the midst of a very visible boom of the property and infrastructure development. Bengaluru provides opportunity to migrant construction workers from different parts of the country like Tamil Nadu Andhra Pradesh Bihar Orissa West Bengal Assam Rajasthan Jharkhand etc.Migrant construction workers in Bengaluru contribute enormously to economic growth and they still remain mostly unseen. They are largely from rural areas and migrate at a young age due to poverty and lack of opportunities. They are uneducated and leave their home place in search of livelihood thus losing their official identity and political protection.
