Migration processes in Kazakhstan

In today''s globalized world the question of controlling demographics and regulating migration processes arises. Information about migration is one of the main parts of demographic statistics of the country. Information about the age the number of persons moving leaving and entering areas of the country in a certain period is important for assessing the size and structure of the population and the future development of the country. Kazakhstan as well as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and a number of other organizations are concerned with the issue of monitoring and regulating the migration process. This paper covers the issue of migration in the Northern part of Kazakhstan as an economic and geographic region as well as the policy of Kazakhstan in the field of migration.
