Millennium Development Goals

The book focused on the Nigeria scenario triumph under the Millennium Development Goals project. The MDGs comprise 8 goals 18 targets and 48 indicators which are of paramount importance to global wealth creation as well as reduction of extreme poverty.The outcome of the philosophy above then calls for the international community to develop an operational framework for achieving the goals. At the national level in Nigeria National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (NEEDS) among others was introduced. In order to ensure the realization of similar goals in Oyo State at the state level State Economic Empowerment Development Strategy (SEEDS) was also introduced. Introduction of this programme was introduced in order to ensure an appropriate framework for tracking the achievements of MDGs which has becoming an issue of concern for all stakeholders and development partners worldwide.
