Mind and Other Matters

<p>Brian’s life began in working class Leicester before the 2nd World War. It has been a good life successful at work enjoyable at play and useful in the community. Family life has been a joy.</p><p>Throughout he has been at the forefront of change and innovation from the exploration of supersonic flight in war-torn Coventry in the 1950s to the birth of financial services regulation in the City of London in the 1980s and much else in between.</p><p>Brian was awarded the OBE in 1997.</p><p>He would gladly swap all of this success to rid his wife of the curse of mental illness which has blighted much of her later life.</p>
