The Graduate Program in Orthodontics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) was the first one founded in Brazil in 1958. Nowadays the Program includes Master''s and Doctorate degrees and has a strong national and international reputation due to the quality of its faculty and its scientific and intellectual productivity. Graduates of the UFRJ Program in Orthodontics are spread across Brazil and located in countries in South Central and North America as well as Europe; they currently teach at public and private teaching institutions or professional associations and entities.
