He decided to tell his story in efforts to inspire young kids and athletes the vital importance of wise decision-making. Your heard the storey so many times but never told in such a vibrating and soul-searching matter. An inspiring young athlete with a promising processional career ahead of him gets involved with the wrong crowd and commits a crime landing him in one of the bloodiest prisons in the United States. Going to prison was never in Hayes' plan especially serving a life sentence. Before his incarceration Hayes had aspirations dreams and goals like any other young person. He attended John McDonogh Sr. High School in the mid-city area of New Orleans LA. where he was considered the best running back in the city if not the State.
