Moby Dick is actually a great white whale against whom Ahab bears a grudge for loosing his leg. Driven by his sheer vengeance he put the entire crew along with the ship at stake. A compelling story of the tussle between man and nature in which the latter of course wins. Man remains a mute spectator who is still reeling in its mysteries.
