A gas turbine engine is a rotary engine which extracts energy from the flow of a combusting gases. It is a type of internal combustion engine from which mechanical energy can be obtained in the form of shaft power or thrust. Gas turbine engines are widely used to power aircraft ships power plants and various kinds of machinery. Gas Turbine Engine operates on Brayton cycle.
