Modeling and Implementation of a Diagnostic Imaging System

About The Book

Information systems have played a fundamental role in the general context of organizations whether in streamlining production processes organizing and archiving documents or even in decision-making. Medicine is also part of this scenario. With these factors in mind the general aim of this work is to present a model for implementing an information system to optimize diagnostic imaging exams. This model was developed using the latest software production concepts available on the world market such as: 3-layer development distributed systems among others. In the search for an internet-oriented and interoperable product the system was structured in layers applying the concept of Model-View-Control which provides the flexibility needed for development and makes system maintenance more organized and structured as the modules are independent. The system was developed using free software tools.
