MODELLING OF CO2 LASER CUTTING PARAMETER FOR AISI 316 STAINLESS

This book work describes stainless steel sheet that is widely used in automotive industries for specific application co2 laser beam cutting is one of the most talented sheet metal cutting process for cutting sheets for straight and curved profile. The width of laser cut quality of cutting edges mainly affected by laser power cutting speed and Gas pressure. The aim of this work is to improve quality of cutting edges of AISI316 material Top kerf width bottom kerf width ratio between then and also analyzation of cutting parameters carried out in this work and the same is offered. The relationship between cutting parameters and kerf dimensions models and optimized. Finally the best parameter is proposed for laser cutting operation.
