Molar Incisor Hypomineralization

Molar incisor hypomineralization is a developmental defect found mainly in incisors and molars. Worldwide prevalence of MIH shows a wide variation ranging from 2.4% to 40%. Molar incisor hypomineralization is an important clinical problem of concern to a pediatric dentist due to its challenging management. The affected tooth are prone to dental caries with the lapse of time; more complex restorations in the later stage and repeated breakdown of tooth and restoration which further aggravates the problem.
