When the author started teaching post graduate courses he narrowed down the focus to the most important experiments in each subject and explained those carefully in class using hand-drawn cartoons and photocopies of the figures as illustrations. This approach worked well and to benefit the students he really wanted a textbook that presented the concepts of molecular biology along with experiments that led to give clear explanations making students to learn the experiments and the concepts and enjoy the beauty of biology. He finally decided that the best way to make such a book would be written by him thus A Practical Text Book of Molecular Biology was evolved.
