<p>Red palm weevil RPW is an invasive insect species distributed worldwide infecting different palm species. Here a set of phenotypic and genetic characteristics of the red palm weevil are reviewed in Part I: Structural biological and ecological characteristics; while different approaches to managing the red palm weevil population including molecular approaches are reviewed in Part II.</p>
