Molecular Pathogenesis of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
English

About The Book

Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) is the most prevalent and the most commonly studied oral cancer. With tobacco usage being the primary cause of OSCC there is a subset of OSCCs which are non-habit (tobacco) related. As most studies assessing the aetiology are focused on habit associated OSCCs there is a void regarding the pathogenesis as the non-habit induced carcinomas are still understudied. Therefore no robust and reproducible associations have emerged and putative mechanisms of tumour promotion are yet to be defined. The book was therefore authored for better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that could lead to the pathogenesis of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
