She is learning that her hair is magical in its natural state and that her hair is an important part of who she is and doesn't have to be straight to be beautiful. It is able to take many forms which is why we call it a crown. Through this tradition it is being instilled in her that she is to love every part of herself despite anything negative done or said towards her.</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
