Morning's Gray Light is the story of George Abbott a coaching legend at Longstreet High School who was unbeatable on the football field but couldn't save his beloved wife from cancer. It's Arlington Virginia in the summer of 1970. George has reluctantly agreed to emerge from his seclusion to coach Longstreet's freshman football team but he can't escape being caught in the bitter social crossfire of Vietnam anti-war protests civil rights and a growing demand from young women to break free from their traditional male-approved roles.
