About the Author: A resident of Darjeeling Poornasmrithi belongs to the Khamboo/Rai group of the Nepali/Gorkha people .Born and raised in a tiny village in Darjeeling she is well acquainted with the many practices that are still prevalent in the Nepali /Gorkha communities today. She worked in the jungles of Chitwan in Nepal and has trekked in offbeat trials of Nepal and Bhutan and Sikkim and Ladakh . The Shamanistic traditions are still strictly followed in her home like in most Nepali/Gorkha homes in the villages .She would like to be remembered as a storyteller.
