Movements and Supply of the German First Army During August and September 1914

<p>In preparation for this study the plan called for a study on the ground by a group of selected American and German officers of the methods of supply of the German First Army during its advance in 1914 through Belgium into France as the right element of the German forces. General von Kuhl and General von Bergmann of the German Army each agreed to prepare a military treatise on the supply and transportation of General von Kluck's command (First Army) with such observations on organization concentration and troop movements as would be in keeping with the subject.</p><p>This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
