Moyen Sushila

Moyen Sushila is the story of a beautiful tribal girl from Jharkhands most densely populated Gumla district. witnessing family conflicts since her childhood she grows up and before turning into an attractive damsel she is repeatedly sexually abused and deceived by the pillars of society ranging from stepfather to bureaucrats and politicians. When she goes to the police for justice they also exploit her fearlessly and later a TV channel exposes the highest officer of the police department at the national level after which she gets salvation. She hits the headlines on national level through TV channels newspapers and other mediums but as soon as the importance of news wanes people forget her. She goes to those people who are considered to be the protectors of the society and the representatives of the government but everywhere the story is repeated. She is exploited and dumped. Well-educated Sushila is not even allowed to work as a labourer - she eventually forges her own path and becomes a role model for harassed girls like her. This novel based on a true incident that exposes the nexus of police administration and mafia elements is written by Sunil Badal who has been associated with journalism for more than 4 decades.
