The spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria and their resistance genes is a serious therapeutic challenge in hospitals and also represents a growing problem that has spread to the environment. In this study a microbiological and molecular investigation was carried out of critical priority bacterial pathogens isolated from rhizospheric soil and agricultural crop plants. The strains detected showed a potential threat of human and animal exposure to critical priority pathogens or their resistance genes which represents an alarming risk to public health.
