My Brother's Keeper

<I>My Brother's Keeper</I> tells the story of two brothers Daniel and TomKincaid born ten years apart to affluent parents from Beaufort NorthCarolina. Daniel becomes a successful and respected physician in hishometown community while Tom spoiled self-centered and sexuallymanipulative becomes an alcoholic sexual predator of women andyoung men.<P>The story follows the lives of these two brothers soon after Daniel isreleased from prison for taking the blame for a crime that his brotherhad committed eight years before in order to protect his brother. Theyeventually meet by chance in a small town in rural North Carolinawhere Daniel had met and fallen in love with a young widow who has ateen-age daughter. However Tom impacts their lives again when theyoung daughter is found murdered. The story follows the lives of thesetwo brothers to the ultimate conclusion of death and redemption.
