My Dizney Kentucky Appalachian Mountain Ancestors

<p>My family lived in the hills of Dizney Kentucky since shortly after the civil war. The Cloud family came from England with William Penn and settled in Pennsylvania with the Quakers. Their descendants moved south as far as North Carolina and as far west as Texas and Missouri.</p><p>This is also my story of growing up in the 1950s in poverty with polio in a holler called Stretchneck Holler in Dizney Kentucky</p><p>The is a story of the Cloud and Presley families who migrated to these hills after the civil war and their descendants who still live here today.</p>
