My Excellent Child

It was 2010; my second son had just turned seven and I was invited to a school meeting. I felt alone worried and intimidated. My heart sank as I looked at the documents I had been given which outlined my son's inadequacies and inability to reach the anticipated milestones. The unspoken message behind the words seemed to be There is not much we can do. Scarily I was running out of options.Year after year the meetings the reviews and the challenges went on. However as these meetings continued I began to grow more confident with my responses and I now feel able to guide others on how to respond effectively to the many challenging circumstances we face as parents of children with special needs.The EHCP annual review!
