<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>In search of a story in the northern England town of Cardwell newspaper reporter Polly Jordan and her favourite photographer enjoy a bit of friendly personal banter before knocking on the purple door of a house belonging to Lizzie Flint an old lady who had survived World War Ⅱ and who had wonderful wartime memories. Her son Billy had been at Dunkirk.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Billy turns up after his mother's death and gets involved with Polly a love/lust relationship which eventually takes her from England to Australia. She is shocked when she discovers illegal activities under the cover of legitimate business which in turn exposes the exploitation of indigenous people in remote regional Australia.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Polly is determined not to allow corruption and criminality to stop her from living her life to the fullest.
