Did you ever wonder what it might be like to eat mince pie with hummus? Or to wear the shortest clothes on the coldest day of the year? If so-keep reading.

This is a tale about a little girl who lives in London while her family comes from a faraway city called Tel Aviv. Her heart is here yet also there. Wait-where exactly?

It's also a story about bilingual kids. When you raise children who grow up with two languages you find yourself in a mix of delightful and surprising moments: sentences that hop between languages books opened from the wrong side Hebrew songs sung with a British twist (and the other way around) unexpected food combinations and so much more.

And then there are the less charming moments-when someone asks your child But where are you from?

They answer I'm from London only to be met with But where are you REALLY from? You see the confusion on their face. Because they were in fact born and raised in London. It's just that their parents come from Israel.

For all these reasons and many more I've poured nights and days into creating a passion project close to my heart: My Heart Is Here and There.

And guess what? This book might be the first bilingual double-sided book ever seen on this planet-well at least at JW3! Even more reason to have a peek isn't it?

Sharon Vidan has lived in London since 2010.
