My Journey to Redemption

I was born in New Orleans to a single mother with five children and raised in a Florida housing project plagued by poverty and dysfunction. My mother a chronic alcoholic often vanished leaving me to seek out positive male role models. I grew up witnessing violence and faced my own demons-gangs drugs and domestic abuse. Yet I realize now that a higher power was watching over me. I survived multiple life-threatening situations and I'm grateful to share my story.
